Hi friend,
Now that the evenings are getting darker, here's a quick trick to try tonight. It costs nothing and takes about 30 seconds!
Turn off your overhead light, and use only your lamps (or your twinkle lights!).
That's it! Light from above makes a room feel flat, a bit like a waiting room. Light at the height you sit at makes it feel warm and cozy. If you can, spread your lamps out so they make a little triangle across the room: a floor lamp by a chair, a table lamp by the sofa, and maybe a small one on a shelf. And look for bulbs that say 2700K on the box. That's the warm, golden glow you see in hotels and restaurants.
In case you missed it
Last weekend I shared 30 DIY Luxury Home Decor Dollar Tree Dupes, high-end looks made with Dollar Tree finds. So many of you have already started making them, and I love seeing it!
Why does a living room never quite feel cozy, even after you clean and decorate? This weekend I'm sharing the 8 small mistakes that are usually the reason, and the easy fix for each one. (The lamp trick above is one of them!)
Hit reply and tell me: which room in your home feels the least cozy right now? I read every reply, and it might just become a future video.
Happy decorating!

🔥 This Week's Top Find: Realistic Faux Cedar Garland
The hottest faux cedar garland is BACK this year! You all loved it so much last year that it sold out by November. I re-purchased it this year to ensure that it's just as good and - yes! - it is. It's full, fluffy, and drapes beautifully. You can style it for Fall on your tablescape or mantel with pumpkins and twinkle lights, then for Christmas with festive touches.
