Is there anything better than walking into a home that smells like fall? πŸ‚

As soon as September rolls around, I start craving all those cozy scents like apple, orange, cinnamon, cloves, and vanilla.

And one of the easiest (and cheapest!) ways to get that cozy fall feeling is with a simmer pot.

I just updated one of my favourite seasonal posts with 10 easy simmer pot recipes to make your home smell amazing, including a few new combinations I think you're going to love.

One of my favourites for fall is ridiculously simple:

🍎 Apple slices
🍊 Orange slices or peels
🀎 2 cinnamon sticks
✨ A few whole cloves
🀍 A splash of vanilla
πŸ’§ Water

Add everything to a small saucepan, bring it to a gentle simmer, then turn the heat down low.

That's it!

Your kitchen will smell SO cozy.

And here's my favourite budget tip: you don't even need to use perfect fruit.

Save orange peels, apple peels, extra cranberries, or fruit that's getting a little soft. I like to keep scraps in the freezer so they're ready whenever I want to make a simmer pot.

In the updated post, I'm sharing 10 different combinations, including:

πŸ‚ Classic Fall Simmer Pot
πŸ₯§ Apple Pie Simmer Pot
🍊 Orange Cinnamon Simmer Pot
β˜• Cozy Coffee Simmer Pot
🌿 Fresh Lemon Rosemary Simmer Pot
πŸŽ„ Plus a few Christmas combinations to save for later!

I also added ingredient substitutions and tips for prepping simmer pot ingredients ahead of time.

If you've never made one before, start with the fall recipe. It's simple, inexpensive, and makes the whole house feel a little cozier.

Happy cozy season!
