Fall might be my favourite season to decorate for, and this weekend on the blog I'm sharing how I set up a cozy fall table without spending much at all.
Here's the secret: I started with one piece I loved, a warm plaid tablecloth, and let it choose everything else. From there it was gold candlesticks tied with velvet bows (a few are actually hair clips!), DIY floral rings made from Dollarama foam wreaths, mini white pumpkins, classic white plates, and a set of amber goblets I found at the thrift store.
It works on a simple folding table outside or your everyday dining table, and it's perfect for Thanksgiving.
There's no YouTube video today - I'm taking some time to enjoy this Canadian Thanksgiving weekend with my family. Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow Canadian friends!

The Plaid Tablecloth
The one that started it all. Warm browns, soft orange, golden tones and cream: basically fall in one piece of fabric. It hides a folding table beautifully too.
If plaid feels like a lot, this gingham one is my other favourite. It's simple and classic, and it layers so nicely with white dishes and natural linen napkins.
