Hi there!

Have you ever spotted those gorgeous textured stone vases in home decor stores and wished you could recreate the look without the designer price tag?

Good news...you can!

I just shared a brand-new tutorial on the blog that shows you exactly how to make a simple baking soda paint recipe that transforms ordinary vases, planters, and thrift store finds into beautiful faux stone decor.

In this new post, you'll learn:

  • How to make the perfect baking soda paint recipe
  • Which types of paint work best
  • Tips for getting a realistic stone or pottery finish
  • Common mistakes to avoid
  • Easy styling ideas for your finished project

The best part? This DIY costs less than $10 and is perfect for beginners.

Whether you're decorating on a budget or simply love giving old pieces a fresh new look, I think you're going to enjoy this project.

This Week’s Top Find

We just got back from our first RV trip of the summer, and despite the rain it was so much fun as usual! 6 years ago, I renovated our RV and it still looks great. One of my favourite additions were peel & stick faux marble hexagon tiles for the kitchen & coffee bar backsplash. Through extreme temperature changes over 6 years, this peel & stick product has held up perfectly.

My pick this week:

Faux Marble Hexagon Peel & Stick Tile (commissions earned)

It would be fantastic for a rental or a budget-friendly kitchen ore bathroom renovation!

If you decide to try my baking soda paint recipe, I'd love to see your finished project! Simply reply to this email or tag @cozydiyhome on social media so I can celebrate your creativity.

Happy DIYing,
